FAQ'S
What should I wear to the wedding?
We ask that guests dress in semi-formal attire. For women, think dressy floor-length or midi dresses. For men, a suit and tie is the standard, though a tuxedo is always welcome. Please note the ceremony and reception are on grass, so we recommend block heels over stilettos. September evenings in La Jolla can be cool, so we also suggest bringing a wrap or jacket.
What should I wear to the welcome party?
Attire for the welcome party is dressy casual. For men, think dress shirts and pants, and for women, think sundresses, skirts, or pants with a nice top! The event will be held outdoors near the beach so you may want to bring a light jacket as well.
Are children invited?
We love your little ones, but our wedding will be an adults-only celebration for ages 18+. We hope this gives you a chance to enjoy a night out!
Where should I park?
Parking is all public. Immediately surrounding the building is 2 hour parking up until 6PM. This means if you park there at 4PM, you are fine to park there until the next day at 8AM.
NON 2 hour parking: Eads Street, La Jolla Blvd, and Draper Avenue in front of the tennis courts. In addition to nearby parking garages.
Parking in La Jolla can be competitive so we strongly recommend using a rideshare service like Uber or Lyft so you can enjoy the evening stress-free. It also means you can fully celebrate with us without worrying about the drive home!
Is the venue accessible?
Yes, the La Jolla Woman's Club is accessible for guests with mobility needs.
Do you have a hotel block?
We don't have a reserved hotel block, but La Jolla and the surrounding areas have a wonderful selection of hotels and vacation rentals. See our "Where to stay" page for hotel recommendations!
What neighborhoods are close to the venue?
The La Jolla Woman's Club is right in La Jolla village, steps from shops, restaurants, and the ocean. Staying in La Jolla is the most convenient option. UTC (University Town Center) and Pacific Beach are also nearby if you'd prefer more budget-friendly options.
When is the RSVP deadline?
Please RSVP by no later than August 15th. We want to make sure we have an accurate headcount for our caterers and seating arrangements!
Can I make a meal or dietary request?
We will be having a buffet style dinner with vegetarian and gluten free options available. If you have any additional dietary restrictions or allergies, please note them in your RSVP and we will do our best to accommodate you.
